Siblings

This past week, my sister came to visit. Well one of them anyways. I'll tell you a little back story and I'll TRY to make it quick since it's horribly long lol.

I was adopted when I was 8 along with one of my sisters Bj when she was 3. For a long time, I always thought it was just the two of us. I found out around the time I was 16 or so, that I had 2 other sisters and a brother. One of my sisters, Jessica, my birth mother, Georgine, gave up for adoption. I don't know how old she was or anything like that. Just that she was named Jessica. My other sister and brother, Jessica (yes I know, 2 jessicas? but the 1st ones adoptive parents named her Jessica) and Jason, lived with their dad. I had pictures of Jessica from when she was little, but I had no idea that's who she was. I always assumed that it was  one of my cousins or something. Bj and I  met them for the first time when I was around 16 or so. We hung out at my grandparents bar that they owned (it was a Sunday so it was technically closed) with our birth family. It was a little weird but I was happy to finally meet them. After they left, we lost contact with them. I am HORRIBLE at keeping in contact with people. Ok, I was before the Internet came along anyways lol. So we didn't hear from them again. Until recently. I was on Facebook one day, talking to my aunts about some old pictures they had added, and they told me that the little girl in the picture I have was Jessica. All of a sudden, I got a friend request from someone named Jessica!!! My Aunt tata had found her on Facebook!!!! I was SO happy! She and Jason only live about 2 1/2 hrs from me. She is married and Jason is divorced (I forgot to mention that when I first met Jason, he brought his wife at the time Jennifer and she was really pregnant!). I have 2 nephews and a niece!!! We met around Halloween of 10' and went to a pumpkin patch that had a ton of fun things to do with the kids. We all had a blast!!

 So Jessica and Mark (husband) and Decium (nephew) came into town this past week and came to my apartment for dinner. I made lasagna for the first time ever and it turned pretty good!!! We just sat and talked for hours and Annabelle and Decium played a fun game on the Xbox. They had a BLAST together!! I love seeing them!! I wish I had the money to go to see them more often since I'm just a stay at home mommy/student right now. But soon, hopefully, Chad will get a $3 raise and it will be possible for me to!! But for now, I will take what I can get! Jess will be back in town on the 17th and hopefully we can get together with BJ this time. Since she hasn't been able to get together with us either time yet! I'm going to leave you with some pictures!

So all in all, I have 6 nephews and 1 niece. (6 nieces if you include my cousins kids who I think of as my nieces!!) And I love them all dearly!!!! (and miss them every day!) Needless to say, we have a big family LOL!

Peyton's 2nd Birthday

Wow. I cannot believe my baby is 2 years old already!! It seems like just yesterday, I was in L&D having my little girl. She has been such a blessing in our lives. She DEFINATLY makes our lives more interesting. She is hilarious and full of spunk. I have a feeling she will be a handful for the rest of our lives haha. She's amazing! We had to have her birthday party a little late because of money issues, but we celebrated her life on the 20th of Feb. We had it at the bowling alley. She had a blast and, as usual, got spoiled. I'm going to post a bunch of pictures from her Birthday party and from the day before her birthday when we took her to Chuck-E-Cheese. She had fun then too!!

Yesterday, one of my facebook friends, Nicole posted a blog that she follows. I looked at it and was instantly heartbroken. Another little life gone. 4 month old babygirl Maddy passed away the other day. I sat there and bawled my eyes out as I read the past few posts her wonderful mother had posted. My heart is broken for her. I proceeded to read her whole entire blog from the beginning yesterday. I finished in just a few hours. I let Peyton watch her Diego and I sat here and read. And cried. I could never even begin to imagine what her and her husband are going through, and will continue to go through the rest of their lives. It's so sad. But it's made me look at my girls and be more thankful than ever for them. I love them SO MUCH and could never imagine my life without them! (even as I sit here and listen to them argue and fight in their room lol) I am one lucky mamma to be their mommy!! I will never take them for granted because I know that one day, it could all be taken away. I love you Annabelle and Peyton with everything that I have!!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Just wanted to share a little bit today. My hubby and I have been together for almost 3 years now (on March 10th) and have been married for almost 2 years (on April 28th). He's a wonderful man and I'm happy to be spending V-Day with him today! (even though he worked last night and is sleeping now haha). He surprised me today. He had told me that he had NO time to shop and he didn't get me anything. Then made me feel bad when I told him I got him something. Then he (after he let me sleep in today) woke me up with a card and a GORGEOUS necklace!! He's awesome!! I love you Chad David!!

Been a while...

Well, it's kinda been a while since I posted. I believe the last one was about the baby who passed away. Well since then, life's been sorta crazy. We went to the funeral that Tuesday. I have to say, it was the hardest, most difficult funeral I have EVER been to! They had an open casket, and the moment I saw that, I lost it! I did not stop crying the whole entire service. They picked out a gorgeous casket. It was a really bright, shiny, red and was just beautiful. But it was the smallest casket I have ever seen in my life. No longer than 3 feet. It was awful. But I know he's in a better place. He is truly an angel in heaven!!

On a brighter note, my new nephew was born on January 20, 2010!! His name is Jeremiah Alexander. He weighed 7lbs, 6oz and was 19 3/4in long! He's SOOO beautiful!!

So in the midst of all the sorrow we have felt these past few weeks, we have some joy too! He is an awesome baby and I LOVE cuddling him!! Chad and Peyton have not been able to meet him yet though. Chad was sick when he could go and he's been working the other days lol. So one day, he'll meet his little nephew! And Peyton has been sickly for a while now. Come to find out, she's had an ear infection. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that before the other day. Annabelle had SO many ear infections, that I should be used to the signs, but I guess not haha. Annabelle also has been sick and we found out she had an ear infection too but it was already healing. She was out of school 4 freakin days this week! I felt bad for her!! She has a nasal drip but I'm starting to think that she has a sinus infection. But her boogers are just now turning yellow/greenish. So we'll see how that goes. Also, Peyton went to daycare on Tuesday and was ok when I  dropped her off, but by the time I picked her up (maybe 7 hrs later) she had contracted pink eye from another kid there. The kids parents had sent their kid to daycare when her eyes were crusted shut in the morning before! Seriously?? UGH! So on top of everyone being sick, she had pink eye. But I think things are slowly getting better. As soon as we get our tax return (on the 4th!) I am stocking up on lysol and vitamins for all of us!

1. Why did you create this blog? Well, I started one a few months ago because my friend Ashley (above lol) told me how great it was. But I never kept up on it. Now, I'm doing it because I need somewhere to let out all the stuff I'm thinking because my hubby works 3rd shift and sometimes it's just hard for us to have a conversation when he's working or sleeping haha.

2. What kind of blogs do you follow? To be honest, they just have to be interesting to me. As of right now, I've gone to other peoples blogs and seen what they were following. I believe the ones I have so far are ones that Ashley has as well (haha I'm a stalker of Ash apparently!!)

3. Favorite make-up brand? Uhh I don't really have a fave!! I really want to try bare minerals though. Actually, right now, I just want NEW make-up! I haven't gotten any in about a year? Sucks being broke:-)

4. Favorite clothing brand? Ok, I hardly have ANY clothes that actually fit me anymore lol. (I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!) So I mostly wear t-shirts and jeans. Most of my nice things come from fashion bug. Although over the summer, thanks to my mommy and her gift card for me, I found this newer place called Avenue that has some pretty awesome things!!

5. Indispensable make-up item? Does chap stick count? LOL! I use it ALLL the time! But other than that, cover-up/foundation. (hey they go together ok?) I have a problem with breaking out a lot so I NEED that haha.

6. Favorite color? PURPLE! (can ya tell by my blog?! I LOVE purple!!!

7. Favorite perfume? Well I have one that I LOVE but don't have $75 to spend on it right now, but it has always been, hands down, my fave! True Star by Beyonce! It is AH-MAZING!

8. Favorite film? Ok, a little back round on me. I worked at video stores (2 places,all together) equaling about 6 1/2 years. So I can't just pick ONE! I love chick flicks, the Twilight series, action. horror, drama, real-life, comedy....I pretty much like anything other than foreign (but I even like SOME of those) haha!

9. What country would you like to visit and why? I have ALWAYS wanted to go to France!! I took french in high school and it's such a beautiful language and country!! But I also want to go to Italy, Spain, Australia-ok anywhere would be awesome haah!

10. Would you rather want to forget to put mascara on one eye or blush on one cheek? haha! Umm I think blush on one cheek! I can always pinch my cheek to make it look like I have blush on LOL!!
